Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala seemed to have geared up for their wedding. On Monday, the latter dropped some pictures from her Pasupu Danchadam ceremony which looked nothing but lovely. She shared several pictures on her gram, giving us a peek into the ceremony. From showing the rituals to candid moments with her friends and family, her photo album gives us the best moments from the ceremony.

For the event, Sobhita wore a stunning South Indian saree, looking every bit beautiful. Adding Gajra in her hair, the South Indian vibes are hitting us. In one of the pictures, Sobhita is seen pounding turmeric in the pestle which is mostly stored for the pellikuthuru and pellikoduku (Haldi ceremony) functions later. Sharing the pictures, The Night Manager actor captioned, “Godhuma Raayi Pasupu danchatam. And so it begins!”

For those who are unaware of the ceremony, Pasupu kottadam or pasupu danchadam ceremony signifies the start of the wedding festivities. On this auspicious day, the house is decorated and guests are invited to participate in the ceremony.

Nagarjuna talks about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s engagement ceremony

In an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna said that he was happy for his son to have found a partner. He said, “Sobhita and Chay make a wonderful couple. They love each other dearly.” Sharing details about the engagement date, Nagarjuna said, “We chose this day because it was very auspicious. Both families consulted the Nakshatras, and when we were told August 8 was a very auspicious day, we decided to go ahead with it.” There were rumours that Naga Chaitanya’s ex-wife Samantha had proposed to Naga Chaitanya on the same date.
